La Mirada HS: Named All-Suburban League as a senior and competed in the 400 meters (50.8) and 800 meters (2:00)… Helped the team win the league championship his junior season and was voted the team’s Most Valuable Player… Also competed in the 300-meter IH (40.2) and 1600 meters (4:57)… Spent four years on the track and field team, three seasons on the football team and one on the cross country team…..
